> I'm trying Lexapro right now to not much success. I was wondering about what other people's experiences have been with Remeron, specifically in regard to anxiety and length of time it takes for it to have an effect.
For 20 years, I've been taking MAOI Parnate. Back in 2002, I made the decision to give Remeron a try, mostly for practical reasons. I thought at first I'd see how good it would be in PREVENTING a relapse in depression. Side effects included deep sleep, intense dreams, grogginess in the morning, and dramatic weight gain. I had a seriousfamily incident in which Remeron appeared to be keeping my anxiety and depression in check. But a couple of months later, bad stuff starting happening in my personal life and I found myself having to increase the dose several times. Then this med seemed to quit altogether and I was left in a pit of major depression. No more Remeron, thank you.
