Does anyone remember Merital - nomifensine?

I'd be curious to know, for those people whom responded well to Merital, which other drugs they responded to. I responded to it only briefly. Although I dont respond well to existing antidepressants, I tend to be a tricyclic and MAOI responder. I'm trying to get an idea as to how important the dopamine reuptake inhibition was to this drug's therapeutic effects.
