When I suffered from anhedonic depression I couldn't enjoy music at all. The first sign of recovery was musical enjoyment.
How funny, just today I was in my car enjoying some music, and thinking this same thing--that perhaps the best measure of how I am doing is my ability to listen to and enjoy music.
When I am bad off I cant listen because happy music reminds me of better times and the horror of how long ago it was that I knew what feelng normal was like and when I could experience joy; and sad music heightens my current despair.
As I am thinking of how I should monitor my moods, maybe I should play some music each day and record my reaction.
Linkadge, I am so glad you are feelng some relief.
