Are you sure the drug you were prescribed is PARNATE?...I'm a little skeptical for a few reasons.. parnate only comes in 10mg. pills, so taking 25 mgs. seems strange...typically, that number should be 20 or 30mg..but regardless, a combination of the two classes of medication (even though they are both at low doses) is a little risky.

also..I don't know of any reason why a bloodtest would be warranted for such a combination. I just don't see a psychiatrist prescribing both of these medications.

Im assuming either 1. you have mistaken Parnate for another similar sounding medication, 2. you have some fundamental misunderstanding of what exactly your DR. instructed you to do, 3. You have aquired Parnate from another source, other than the DR that Rx'ed the Paxil.

This definitly goes beyond aggressive, liberal psychiatry.
