Long-term stimulant use and duration of effect

Posted by Dave001 on December 9, 2004, at 15:04:07

If you take either the IR preparation of dextroamphetamine or methylphenidate (Adderall and Focalin included), I would be interested to know the following: 1) Which drug do you take? 2) How long have you been taking it? 3) How long do find the subjective effects last?

Personally, I've been taking Dexedrine for <gasp> 10 years now, and although I've maintained the same daily dose from the beginning, I find that the effects are very short-lived -- about 2 hours/dose. This is extremely annoying. I'm hoping to switch to Focalin XR when it becomes available.
