How much are you taking now? The general rule of tapering is 10%/week or quicker if you can handle it. I used to take 6mg of klonopin a day and yes it worsened depression for me also, but I switched to xanax and haven't had that problem. If you truly need a benzo to function (like me) you may want to discuss xanax with your pdoc.
