During the course of the day, the anxiety comes down just a bit but is still there, and I have crying spells and cannot relax. Finally in the evening, I am simply agitated andrestless (cannot stop fidgeting and tapping), but my anxiety levels have decreased markedly... only to often repeat the same vicious cycle the next day. I take trileptal and Luvox, and Ativan as needed, and actually was doing ok until they tried Buspar, which destabilized me. The only other variable I can think of is that I went on a low carb diet abotu two months ago just to make sure I did not gain weight form my meds... I have a strong suspicion that this may be involved. First of all, what is going on with me? Has anyone experienced these agitated mixed episodes? I need help. I see my psychiatrist tomorrow, and need suggestions as to what I may do to overcome this hell that has been torturing me for the past year off and on.

What's your dosing schedule with your Trileptal and Luvox? Are you taking all the Luvox at bedtime? Are you taking any other nonpsych meds or OTC meds? That's curious that the anxiety settles down throughout the day and is worse in the morning. That's the kind of pattern I had when I sought help when I was 20 and was first diagnosed. Another thing.. get your serum sodium checked (the trileptal could be causing hyponatremia). Also check your thyroid... you could be getting hyperthyroid. Anyhow, I am wondering if you are taking all your Luvox at bedtime and it is agitating you somehow? The low carb diet thing.. there might be something there if you had some weight loss and your metabolism went up a bit as a result.. or if you are *over* restricting your carbohydrates. Gosh I hope you get better, I know what that crap is like.
