> LinkadgeThat's ridiculous! Are you going to be seeing a new pdoc now? If you are, hopefully it will be one that is a better prescriber and one that works to identify a med or combination of meds that will work well for the person he/she is treating rather than only using meds that he/she is comfortable with. What do you have in mind in terms of meds? Also, try to book a series of appointments after your appointment so you don't have to wait months for follow-up. If you don't need to the appointment(s), you can always cancel, but at least you will have something booked in advance if you do need to see the doc. The pdoc that I see seems averse to augmenting and prescribing more than one med with different actions at the same time. Although he did keep me on Celexa when he put me on Anafranil, which is strange since both are SRIs. When I see him again in the new year, I am going to have to be more insistent (which tends to be out of character for me) and ask for something more stimulating (either nortriptyline or Provigil to add to Celexa).
Well, I do wish you all the best upon your return to school. You obviously have the brains and ambition to do well, so try not to be too hard on yourself. Perhaps going back to school will be somewhat therapeutic for you, and will take your mind off some of your worries for a while.
Take care and be good to yourself.
