BUSPAR...for low grade ANXIETY?

Posted by jeopardy on January 27, 2005, at 9:26:05

I need some feedback on BuSpar. I would appreciate comments just from members who experience "low grade anxiety"...ie; general causes to medication induced distress from stimulants and such. From what I’ve read…people who have major anxiety didn’t care for BuSpar…mainly it does not instantly alleviate anxiety like Xanax/Klonopin ect. My question is, after a couple of weeks, did BuSpar help take the edge off of stimulants, ect, and what was your final daily therapeutic dose? I currently take 20 mg Ritalin IR (tid) plus 0.5 to 1.5 mgs Xanax @ night for sleep. I could take Xanax and or Klonipin during the day if so desired. I would rather use a non-benzo if possible. I really appreciate the wealth of personal feedback along with the knowledge and wisdom this board provides.

Thanks, Jeopardy
