Hi Ed.
> I thought you felt 'drunk' at that dose, maybe you'd actually get a better AD effect at a lower dose. What do you think?
It was at 40mg that I experienced the state of feeling intoxicated. I actually experienced a significant antidepressant effect the first time at 20mg. The response lasted for about a week or so before pooping-out on me. I was so sure I hit the bullseye that time. Since memantine had been so different from the monoaminergic drugs I tried in the past, I figured it had a good chance of "sticking". Crap.
> Btw, do you think you'll try Parnate + imipramine again? Was this combination any more effective than Parnate + nortriptyline?I gleaned a long-term response (9 months) from Parnate + desipramine in 1987. The same combination does very little for me now. Parnate + nortriptyline does as much for me as the imipramine combo, but is more forgiving cognitively. For now I prefer nortripyline. I am using the combo as an old recipe that represents a dead-end but that allows me to function well enough to take care of life's essentials and maintain an apartment.
ARGH! (frustration and anger)
Thanks for caring, Ed.
