>I had been "trying out" the Remeron via my doctors samples for 12 days and had fantastic results. I felt lucid and that black fog of intense and unrelenting guilt and sorrow lifted for the first time in 2 years. Well, downside is that due to weekend mix-ups with my doc etc. I did not get more Remeron until 4 days later.
This "second round" could have shocked your system. 4 days later is equal or beyond the half-life decay of Remeron.
> have read about the white blood cell count warning re Remeron and am wondering if I should be worried about this cold which seems to not be
Agranulocytosis occurs in Remeron in approximately 0.1% give or take... its a very small risk. Normally fever and sore throat and other more severe signs of infection are a possible indication... I'm not sure that a bad case of the sniffles (remember that sudafed is not a cure-all) is enough to worry about it. Still if anything gets worse you should talk to your doctor, and have a simple WBC draw to determine things. I had one just as a routine over-precaution after I was on remeron for oh I dunno a few weeks.Hope you feel better.
