> does anyone know if there is any reason you can't take these two drugs together, they both were originally antiepileptics, and I take Lamictal any Cymbalta currently, but I have terrible migraines and have been considering trying topamax to help prevent them. Any info anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated
I don't know about Lamictal and Topamax, but my pdoc and I have been discussing Topamax and Depakote, which is also an antiseizure med. That literature says it is okay to take them together, but I don't remember the other ones mentioned. I look up med info through Medline-it gives good info and is not written by the drup companies to my knowledge.
I, too, am a migraine sufferer, and have been having a lot lately. Now I'm having trouble with my meds because we increased one and I am having unwanted effects from it. What are you taking for MIgraine prophylaxis and acute attacks?
I am on propranolol 10 mgs. 2times daily, Nortriptyline 10 mg one time daily and the Depakote, Effexor XR and Xanax help some, too.
Please keep in touch. U'D
