> the generic form of k i take is purepac. is it worse or better than other generic brands and is it comparable to brand name klonopin? when i first started using the medication i asked for the brand name the second month i was taking it, but i dont remember the difference. that was a co years ago. anyway is it the same? also when ppl talk about placebo what is that??
A placebo is a pill that does nothing, used in tests against the actual drug.
The generic vs. brand name issue has been hashed out here many times. People have ranked the various generics for Klonopin. (Also see http://www.crazymeds.org/BvsG.html.)
In my case, it was a qualitative issue, not quantitative, in that no amount of the generic Ativan would behave as the real thing.
In one detailed analysis of Klonopin (if I remember correctly) the poster stated how much more of the generic he needed to equal the brand name (or maybe a better quality generic.)
