Hi.
What exactly is your diagnosis?
I am so glad that you are exercising your intellect in attacking your current episode. I believe you will win. I responded to your post on the Faith board. It appears that was wrong as to which number I thought you would choose. :-)
I would consider trying Zyprexa before Thorazine for reasons I'm sure you are well familiar with. Is there any reason why you feel Thorazine would be a better choice? Perhaps your reasoning is valid.
I would not rule-out the addition of Klonopin, a benzodiazepine, to your medication if the antipsychotic by itself is inadequate. The two drugs make for a powerful combination that few other strategies can match when a psychosis doesn't respond readily to other treatments. If you don't have a substance-abuse problem, I would not be afraid of it.
Zyprexa usually produces CLEARER THINKING, which I know is important to you.
Maybe you could try the Zyprexa first. If it doesn't work, you and your doctor can then discuss alternate strategies.
