I was personally a one-med person earlier; then I decided for myself that taking a lot of one med may be too much of one thing--pushes one type of imbalance into another type with time. I now feel that a little bit of several meds may be more "balanced." And in fact may be less intrusive with side effects and stressing the body. Now when I travel I am a bit self-conscious that I have all these bottles with me, but then I remind myself it is just a small dose of each.
Wellbutrin in particular I think of more as an energy booster than an antidepressant. I would probably be taking it if it weren't for its reputation for increasing anxiety.
