The same goes for Amytal, Sodium Amytal, Tuinal and Soneryl.I was actually talking about chloral hydrate when I made the above remark -- you're certainly right that short-acting barbiturates are something of a dinosaur these days outside of hospital medicine and the elderly who've been dependent on them for 20, 30, 40+ years. Phenobarbital and Mebaral both seem to remain popular in pediatric use for epilepsy, however.
