I've been on Effexor and Klonapin (Clonazepam)for a number of years now. 150mg of Effexor and 4mg of Clonazepam daily.
I suffer from reocurring Major sevear depression w/aniexiety panic disorder.I have found that Effexor for me only works to a minumum of effect against depression and anxiety. But then on the otherhand how would I feel taking nothing at all. In comparison to other SSRI"S I've been on the theraputic values are about the same.
Klonapin on the other hand usualy works very well against anxiety. But the down side is that your body easily builds up a resistance to this drug. It usualy helps me to sleep, but if a stressor episode has transpired then I need more of my prescribed dose to sleep. And I've had a ton of stressors lately.
So what I find I have to do, is to cut back on the Klonapin and suffer some of the horrible withdrawl symptoms, then 1 or 2 mg's usualy help once again.
