Hey Ed,
Thanks for your welcome :)
I take 800mg of Sulpiride every night. It seems like a high dose but it's the one that works. I was on 200mg to start with about five years ago, but had to raise it after some problems with stress and depression that caused psychosis, although i never lost insight into it. I am fine on 600mg though but like to feel safe:)
I did try Amisulpiride once and it was ok but i had this feeling of terrible restlessness and weird discomfort in my stomach so I switched to another one. I am scared to try another drug after Abilify. I think I always get destabilised when I switch meds.
I didn't gain THAT much weight, probably between 7 to 12 pounds - it fluctuates. But then it's also down to eating more and age I imagine (31)!I am not overweight at 11st and 5ft 8in but, as a girl, I like to be thin:)I do have hyperprolactinemia, I've had tests...It may cause problems with having kids but luckily I have no desire to get pregnant.
What are your experiences with medication? Any others you're on? I also take Lamictal and Carbamazepine.
cheers,
L
