That's what my GP prescribed since I don't have a pdoc at the moment. I'm not sure it's doing much for me. I feel more irritable some days when taking it and short-tempered with the kids.
On a positive note, this my 2nd day back on 75mg Effexor (+ 300mg Wellbutrin + 1mg clonazepam + 25mg doxepin) and I have felt my spirits lift substantially! I guess I was too eager to jump on the Cymbalta bandwagon when it became available. Effexor is a much more energizing, mood enhancing SNRI for me than Cymbalta.
I went to the casino today and had a blast on $10! I didn't feel that urge to keep feeding the slots (an impulse control problem?) and I was very social even though I went there alone.
I hope this is a sign that things are turning around for me again. I may even drop the Wellbutrin and use Effexor and clonazepam as my main meds. (It would certainly be cheaper!)
Spring break is over and I will be back to work tomorrow. I can't wait to see how the med change affect my feelings and actions in the classroom. (Sometimes 17 pre-schoolers and be hard to take - LOL - thank God for the 3 other adults there too!)
