Hi Alien,
I'm sorry to hear that you're having such a hard time :-(
I agree with Mitch about your serum sodium, it would be a good idea to call your pdoc and ask him/her to arrange a blood test. It sounds like you need an appointment ASAP.
>Local doc said that Maxolon (sp?) and Stemitil are basically the only drugs i can get unless i was a cancer patient.
You could see what they've got at the local pharmacy :-) Some of the drugs sold for motion sickness are basically general purpose antiemetics. Some of the antihistamines which are sold for insomnia could also help.
I think you've got dimenhydrinate (Dramamine) in Australia, it's a sedative antihistamine which can treat nausea and induce sleep.
Diphenhydramine is a similar drug. The brand name is Australia is Unisom (apparantly). You might be able to buy it from the Pharmacy without a prescription, I'm not sure- you can in the UK.
Another similar drug is called doxylamine. It is sold in Australia for insomnia. The brand names are Dozile and Restavit.
Mepyramine tablets are (apparantly!) available in Australia for the treatment of insomnia. They are called 'Relaxa-Tabs'.
All the drugs which I've suggested are sedative antihistamines, they might make you very drowsy.
If you're taking Tegretol for bipolar disorder, all the drugs which I've suggested should be ok. If you're taking Tegretol for epilepsy, none of the drugs which I've suggested are suitable. Ask your pharmacist LOL!
Have you already tried Maxolon and Stemetil? I think you said that you have but I'm not sure.
Kind regards,
Ed.
