Risperdal

MY son was on Risperdal last summer (he is autistic). He got so constipated that I had to take him off of it.
Has anyone else had constipation with it? it did seem to calm his nerves just a bit. HE has a VERY hard time around the 4th of July. Firewords terrify him to death. So we spend at least a week afterwards looked away in our house playing loud music, every fan in the house is on, and anything else we can figure out to filter out noises for him.
Maybe I should give it a try for him again.
