Morphine- a versatile analgesic
In the treatment of severe pain, there is no 'standard' dose of oral morphine. Doses have ranged from 2.5 mg to over 2500 mg of morphine sulfate every 4 hours, although most patients need less than 100 mg every 4 hours.
