Other functions of serotonin?

I've been searching, and can't seem to find anything that explains -- in terms I'm capable of understanding, at least -- the role of serotonin in the GI tract. Does anyone have any sources that I could try?
Also, once again, weight neutral anti-depressants that target the NE system as well as 5HT? My current cocktail seems to be pooping out -- already -- and every time I think about going back on one of the drugs I've tried before, I just lose any hope of ever actually *living* again. Since I've been on pretty well everything so far, except MAOIs, that's a little bit of a trouble...
