Viagra vs. Levitra

Posted by Descending on May 15, 2005, at 8:59:51

I am a 55 year-old guy with sexual side effects from my AD cocktail: loss of libido/sensation, erectile difficulties and delayed (sometimes indefinitely) orgasms. My partner is very understanding, but I think entitled to a bit more satisfaction with less work.

My pdoc has prescribed Viagra 100 mg. It works, * but * for a max of 90 minutes. There's also enough dizziness for some comical pratfalls, though I don't always laugh about them until later. (Dizziness is secondary; duration is most limiting.)

We are considering Levitra 20 mg as an alternative. (Cialis is a last choice, because of previous problems with "long-lasting" meds.) Do any guys have experience switching from Viagra to Levitra, or vice-versa? Does one seem to take longer to start working, or does one seem to last longer once it starts? Does either seem to help more with the delayed orgasms? Were side effects significantly different?

Any input would be appreciated. (That's also what my partner says to me.) Thanks.
