Seroquel seems to have an antidepressant effect for me, but only combined with lithium. Neither one of them alone had any AD effect at all, but together they do.

I don't see what the big deal is for your doctor. I could understand it if was a highly risky drug or something, but what the hell does he care if you swap one antipsychotic for another (you're on Zyprexa right?)? I know he said he wanted you to try your current drugs longer, which makes some sense. But it seems like in a couple more weeks he should let you switch. It sucks that doctors have that kind of power and we can't just do what we want! I want to try Dexedrine but I don't know if my doctor is going to let me because I had sort of a bad reaction to Adderall.

I think Seroquel is way better than Zyprexa.
