>Hm... I always took it with breakfast, and it seemed to keep me going most of the day -- at least up until about 5PM or so. For a while, I took a front loaded split dose: 100mg AM and 50mg noonish. That kept the late afternoon fade at bay, which worked out nicely for me. And, on either of those schedules, it didn't create any problems sleeping for me.
From what I've read, it takes two to four hours to reach maximum blood levels, and takes something like three to seven days to reach steady state. I can't tell you if that's accurate, but I can tell you that the lunch doses I took started to kick in between about 2 and 3 in the afternoon, and I was aware of the positive effects of the drug pretty much on the first day I took it.
OH! That's another thing to warn you about! Right at first, you might get headaches. They're not horrible, at least they weren't for me -- I get migraines, so these were more like pressure than pain to me. They do seem to go away, and they really weren't all that bad for me. Except the first one. The first one I got was so bad I ws afraid I'd end up in the ER for it. And I never go to the ER if I can avoid it. The headaches didn't last long, and the subsequent headaches were never bad -- really, just like wearing a slightly tight swimming cap.
Oh, Maxi -- I'm pulling for you, out here on the Left Coast. If there's any help in that, you've got it. May this work well for you!
