Matt I posted to you earlier but I guess you didn't see it. You need to read the book "Bipolar Child" and see if that sounds like you. ADHD can look very similiar to some forms of bipolar in children.
I know you are 18 now, but sometimes looking at the past can give you clues to the future.
Also, the car may be in your parents name, but you do NOT have to stay there. Do you have any other relatives you trust? Or friends? You do need treatment. I'm not sure how good the medicaid system is in Dallas. Ask about something called Texas Rehab or something like that. They can help people with physical or mental disabilities get a job or go to school. They might also help you get treatment. Your parents can't keep you on their insurance unless you go to school full time.
Is there any way you can talk to your Dad? It is possible your mom has the same type problem you have. That could be part of the problem. She has never faced her problems?
