I think anxiety is something you can get when you start taking it. Sometimes they will gradually increase the dosage - othertimes I think they are more interested on getting the theraputic dosage into you ASAP.

My p-doc wanted me to gradually increase the dosage to start with - and that was the reason he gave. He said he didn't want me getting even more anxious than I already was.

I think it will get better as your system adjusts to it. I think Effexor is one anti-depressant that also tends to help with anxiety once your system is adjusted to it.
