Lunesta; Whom does it work for?

I have tried Lunesta and it just doesn't do anything for me but keep me awake. I also experienced the horrible after taste immediately after I took it. I began with two mg and upped it to 3mg as per my dr. I hate this pill but want it to make it work. I think if I lower the dosage to 1mg, I may react differently. Has anyone tried it at a higher dosage and then lowered it and worked? I have a full bottle and would hate to have to throw it away.
