I think she may be unnecessarily alarming you. I was on 2.5mg and went down to .5mg within a couple of weeks with no problem. Perhaps it could be better to do it more slowly since you've been on it longer than me. Most docs don't understand the concept of tapering in my neck of the woods!Good luck!
