hey! I've done the antipsychotic thing, and I'd kind of recommend that, if you're not floridly psychotic, you try another route. I'm in college, but its been a hard road, in part b/c of treatment with neuroleptics. I often found myself emotionally numb, oversedated, unable to focus/complete assignments, and then performing far under par and without the "spark" and intellectual vigor that marked my work before neuroleptic treatment and after withdrawal of the neuroleptics from my medication regimine. IF you have a tendency towards racing, crowded thoughts, Prozac may not be the antidepressant for you--in fact, you may be better off without an antidepressant. Trileptal worked reasonably well for me with fewer side effects than the neuroleptics. However, I still found that I felt "impaired" and numb; so, I've lately opted for medication-free therapy for my issues. I'm not saying you should ditch your meds by any means, but I do think that one should always be very, very selective about the medications one consumes and the side effects that you are willing to tolerate.
