> Also, can I have milk, ice cream and other dairy products?Absolutely-- unless maybe they're spoiled.
> Can I eat lunchmeat, i.e.-sliced chicken, turkey, etc. and I know I can't eat salami, pepperoni, or sausauge.Lunchmeat is perfectly fine unless it's been sitting out in room temp or warmer air for a long time probably. But i've never ever had a problem with lunchmeat (2 years on 45 & 60mg Nardil).
And even salami, pepperoni, and sausage should be okay unless: they've been sitting out a long time, you eat a wapping amount, or you're on an extremely high dose of Nardil (say, 105mg or more) and eat too much of them. Overall it's definitely smart to be careful with these foods, but i *personally* wouldn't avoid them completely. Again, i have had salami, pepperoni, and sausage (though rarely more than about a few servings i would imagine) lots of times since being on Nardil and never had any problems.
>Can I eat sour cream and cottage cheese, and mozzarella cheese like on a pizza, of course without the pepperoni and sausage? Is it safe to eat hamburger, steak, pork chops, chicken, and turkey?Mozzarella, sour cream, and cottage cheese are perfectly fine. Regarding the other meat items you mentioned-- same as w/ lunch meats.
> Does anyone have an accurate list of foods I can or cannot eat, because the internet says no American, processed cheese and cheddar cheese but the pharmacist said that she thinks that these 2 cheeses would be ok?

These are about my last two options for Chronic Major Depression that I have had for years; I even had ECT treatments several times years back.

i have had incredible, almost miraculous success with this medication. And if you read around this board awhile you will see that many others have been quite positively affected as well-- if the side effects are not too overwhelming for them.
Provigil does not even begin to compare to Nardil as far as antidepressant efficacy goes. Go with the Nardil. Also, i am almost certain that Provigil would be okay to take with Nardil, but ask your doctor first of course.
One final thing-- i'm convinced that any type of wine and liquor is okay to drink with Nardil. i'm not positive, but pretty sure. i've drunk certain wines on Nardil that i have read you should/must (?) avoid, and there were no problems. As far as beer's concerned, avoid tap beer just to be safe. Other than that, in my opinion and from my experience all bottled beer should be okay (at least all those you can buy in the States), but i could be wrong.
Avoid sourcraut (sp?) and soy sauce too.
A lot of medications are okay to use, but a lot are very dangerous too, so be careful with that.Good luck to you.
