> DeclanHi,
Wal-Mart has a generic version with aspartame that is a lot less expensive. They also have the generic with sugar. Great source of soluble fiber, and most of us do not get enough of that in our diet.Mix about 3 tablespoons in a glass of water and let it sit for a minute. It binds together into a gelatinous mass (don't drink it this way, you could choke). This shows why it helps with diarrhea; it comes out that way too. Amazing how many doctors don't know about this stuff.
Be careful when you take psyllium husk as it can interfere with the absorption of some medications. For some of us this may be difficult, when our meds are spread out throughout the day. Build up your dosage slowly to avoid bloating and flatulence.
