Does lithium increase BCL-2 in body or just brain?

It is reported that lithium increases BCL-2 levels in the brain. If lithium increased BCL-2 levels in other regions could this be pose an increased risk of cancer, (many new cancer therapies are designed to decrease the antiapoptotic BCL-2 in cancer cells)
