I'm so sorry that Keppra hasn't continued to work for you, it must be so frustrating to have this keep happening. You must wonder why, have you ever thought of having a Pet Scan before and after you get a response to find out what's happening? Or would that be too expensive and don't you think it would be of any use? How bad would you say your depression was right now? Are you able to function ok? If I remember rightly you said that you suffered from Bipolar Disorder? Doesn't this mean that you will go up again as part of the cycle?
It makes me sick that these type of scans aren't part of the normal procedure for anyone suffering from psychiatric illnesses. I'm sure they'd find out more if they made it standard practice to do a Pet/Spect Scan of anyone suffering from depression before and after treatment. I guess it would be too expensive though.
I wish I'd had one done when my antidepressants worked years ago to find out what was going on in my brain now they don't work. I'm really starting to believe that I have less Serotonin transporters than I did then and that my brain has shrunk.
I'm starting to think about having a scan before and after taking Zyprexa as this is the only drug I can really count on to help me. It scares me to think where I'd be without it.
Anyway, thanks for the compliment regarding my intellect but all I do is ask stupid questions out of sheer frustration, you're the one who provides the answers.
