Actually, one of the ways that I know that a new drug is working for me is that I catch myself laughing again. There are certainly times where I go for a very long time without even a chuckle. I don't realize it's missing unless it is back.

Of course, I have experienced this a number of times, as I am on a meds/depression roller coaster. Sigh. Keep your fingers crossed, things seem to be on the upswing...
