First i want to start by saying i had no intentions on posting,i admitt got a bit carried away.
I understand blocked,and will not attempt to particpate in the group any longer,i also was not trying to pull the wool over anyones eyes i dident change my posting style,my bad grammer or anything.
I just wanted to get my last comment off my chest even if itll be up prob less than 5 min.
First i was very flattered to see some of you at the very least question my block,very very flattering.
Second id like to respond to racers post for a moment,he posted i knew the rules and actualy i was not aware that you were able to curse as much as you like,as long as an asterick accompanies it,i read this on garden girls post on adminstration.My idea of a moderated board does not including headers with curses,as well as randomly crude agressive remarks,and well more curses.
Simply putting an asterick next to it is the right thing to do when a curse here or there is presented,but when you flood the group with them i really dont think an asterick makes it any less offensive and in my opinion unacceptable for a group that is moderated.A young 17 year old can be posting there,astericks besides a bundle of swear words does not make it acceptable enough for a younger person to read.
Ask yourself if you had a 13 - 14 year old child do you think babble consisting of that day in and day out would be a place youd like your young one to seek support?
I also did not just jump into my responses,i waited for the moderater to do something,its when i saw the moderator actualy politly re-direct this persons post as if they were corrupting half the group is when i let my emotions get the best of me,trust me id much rather have seen that person dealt with by the moderator in the way one would think u would be.
I dont know of any other moderated board that would allow a onslaught of swear words simply because an asterick is put beside it,try doing it on a college paper or in a email at a job setting.Swearing as this poster did,regardless of astericks was simply uncivil.
I also dident get invovled because i had nothing better to do,i was offended,avoiding the posts was an option but i could not avoid the headers,and to see heading after heading of curses made me feel very much offended.
I have never in a single word been rude,or offensive to a single person in this group,and again the reason i did so was it becaome obvious the moderator was not going to.
Having swearing in a header DOES NOT give the reader an option to ignore them.
But to my surprise i was informed after reading gardgirls post in adminastartion that it is Dr. Bobs policy that swearing is permitted as long as its accompanied by astericks,so regardless if i was offened i was still uncivil.
In fact the person was never blocked for swearing,but instead for posting with mulitple names,so the swearing was never addressed.
I have to say i am ve dissapointed that a moderated board that doesent even let one even imply anything that would make another feel offended would allow such an onslaught of verbal abuse.
I know i would not permit a young one to use this group if that became a pattern which appearently it could since its not aganist any policy.
All i can say is if it were a policy then i would not be blocked now because it would never have gotten that far.The person would have been long dealt with before there posts accumalted to a degree to which it became unbearable to view.Still i want to thank everyone who at least questioned my block.
I also wanna make a suggestion that if this board is to be moderated and require one to be civil,then cursing should not be allowed.
I happen to know a young girl who reads this group,and Dr Bob if you think its civil that this young girl read a bunch of swearing then i really am confused.I also wanna state that unless i missed it,i did not even get a time frame,i guess i have been that much of a animal to the group that i dont deserve a block time!
