I dont know...the only experiences I can relate to you have been with Sonata and Ambien. With Sonata, the pill wore off, or maybe wasn't strong enough to start with...anyway, I didn't fall asleep, and I had a conversation with my then-roommate that I only vaguely remembered the next day. She said I was chatty and sociable, but strangely giddy. Then, another time, I took an Ambien (10mgs), couldn't fall asleep, and remembered that I needed cigarettes. So, I ran down to the little store in my building and the guy behind the counter was like "are you f*cked up man?". I *really* wanted the cigarettes, and I was *really* confused, so I was just like..."whatever, where are my camels?". If you low-dosed it, I could possibly see some benefit but...I think the best course might be to have your doc work with you on properly adjusting a benzo; most people can find long-term relief with properly calibrated dosages of benzos. Augmenting meds can be used as well, if needed (ex: buspar, propranolol, possibly neurontin or gabitril). Good luck!
