I'm glad you say that! I've been on modafinil now for 4/5 days and its kept me wide awake, until today!
Today I fell asleep around 4:30pm and awoke 2 hours later. Thing is, I took 100mg modafinil at 3pm (+ 30mg Nardil) AND I felt it take effect, but I still slept!?
Since starting, I've had a lot less sleep, about 5 hours a night. Now this is great! The less I have the better I function, though I must still have 'some' sleep. I woke up at 4am today. Also, the sedation from the Nardil is what made me choose modafinil in the first place. Now combine the Nardil sedation and haveing less sleep than normal, and it seems no surprise that I fell asleep. But isn't the modafinil supposed to work in this exact type of situation? And considering the fact that I DID actually feel it take effect but still fell asleep shortly afterwards? Whats going on there!? I'm baffled.
It might help to miss my 30mgNardil midday dose and add it to my morning and evening doses instead. I'll also try to get a bit more sleep.
Maybe I shouldn't expect 'miracles'. After all, I feel pretty good at the mo. And reading that its still working for you despite you still needing a daily nap makes me feel better about it.
