Matt my mother took miltown. And when I first had a panic attack meprobamate, miltown and valium were what worked for me. Xanax worked fine for many years. It stopped a panic attack just like that. And it's supposed to have some antideression characteristics too. It's short half-life make it hard to come off of though.Fondly, Phillipa
