I'm a big fan of the expression: "If it's not broke, don't fix it." Were you doing very well on your meds with minimal side effects? If you were feeling good, it was the result of your medications. So why reduce the dose of any of them?

Prozac generally has more side effects than Lamictal; particularly with sexual side effects. If you have sexual side effects with your prior dosages, then maybe you should only reduce the Prozac. But do it very gradually. Go to 35 mg for a few weeks. Then, if you are still feeling good; go to 30 mg.

But always be prepared to go back up to the prior higher dose if you feel that you need to. Also check with your doc about changing the dose of anything.

> Hello..I have been on 2 diff. mood stabelizer meds and prozac since march. (i have been on other meds for years) Recently, I have felt able to stop taking my AD. (i was taking 40mg prozac daily) and in the last 2 wks, I have cut back on my lamictal to 200mg, instead of 300. I also take 300 mg of trileptal. So, I have lowered my lamictal to 200mg daily and stopped my prozac all together. I feel ok, but I have not told my pdoc about this.
