I have not tried sulpiride, but I have tried amisulpride. It is my favorite of any med on the planet. It can lift me out of any kind of depression in 2 days, time after time. The longest I've ever taken it was about 8 weeks. The problem I run into is that it causes sexual side effects for me. So I use it when I need it, but not continuously. Excellent for motivation, activity, social comfort, though it can have a bit of revved up anxiety at start up. I usually start at 12.5mg, then up to 25mg, and the highest I've taken is 50mg. I like amisulpride a lot. I think my depressive symptoms are definitely in the dopamine system somewhere, and that's why it helps me so much. For other people who it doesn't help much, their symptoms are probably not as dopamine related as mine.
