I've used hydrocodone products (i.e. Lortab, Lorcet, Vicodin) recreationally during the months I was trying Parnate -- never ran into any trouble. Though I haven't used oxycodone with Parnate, I imagine it wouldn't be a problem. I was prescribed Percalone (oxycodone), Dilaudid (hydromorphone), Avinza (morphine), Duragesic (fentanyl) and a few other narcotics to treat fibromyalgia pain during some of the period of time I was taking Nardil, another MAO inhibiting antidepressant like Parnate. Never had a problem.

If I recall correctly, the current list of opioid drugs that are considered, for the most part, to be contraindicated when taken with irreversible MAO inhibitors is limited to the following:

Ultram (tramadol)
Demerol (meperidine/pethidine)
Methadone
Darvon/Darvocet (propoxyphene, norpropoxyphene, dextropropoxyphene)

Hope this helps,
~Michael
