Most combinations of ADs and APs enhance each other greater than either alone. For example, prozac plus zyprexa increase brain levels in the prefrontal cortex of dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine bigtime, much more than either alone. Zyprexa plus zoloft increases just dopamine. All the combos are a bit different. But in general, the mixtures result in enhanced effects and often decreased AD side effects (the serotonin blockade helps get ride of AD insomnia, nausea, and sexual problems, as the blockade is only done on the specific receptors that is related to those side effects, it doesn't block all serotonin receptors).
