Amineptine under the tongue (sublingual)

Posted by sukarno on November 15, 2005, at 16:01:25

Amineptine gives me some substantial nausea, so I decided to try it under the tongue and have kept it there without swallowing for about 15 minutes.

I think I can feel it now. It should theoretically bypass the stomach and liver (first-pass metabolism) and go directly into the bloodstream via the blood vessels underneath the tongue.

Will this work with amineptine or only with certain drugs?

I only took 12.5mg by carefully cutting the tablet into small pieces. 25mg makes me too nervous and creates considerable nausea.

Any input/opinions are greatly appreciated. :-)

Paul
