Hi Fuscia. I'm taking it for unipolar (I think!) with a strong agitated and anxiety element. I've not had any response to conventional ADs. I was drawn to Lamictal for its AD properties and also that it might be able to smooth out some of my mood swings (that occur during the day). During the last few weeks I haven't been obsessing about what med to try next, or constantly ruminating about my depressed state, so surely thats a sign its working. I've also noticed that my mood swings (depressed early in the day, moving up to energetic in the late evenings) have evened out considerably. And no side effects, so it seems a great main medication at this stage. Fingers crossed :S
