I don't have any experience w/ that med, but I just wanted to wish you well. I also wanted to say that the diagnosis is not as important as treating the symptoms. Unfortunately, in psychiatry, just because you know the "right" name for something doesn't mean that there is a clear drug choice. So, as long as your pdoc understands your symptoms and experiences s/he should be able to make some good choices about meds.
Also, my advice would be to make sure that you are able to see your pdoc very frequently while you are searching for the right med. That way s/he can have a better sense of what is working or not working and s/he can change things quickly if you are having probs. You may need to stand up for yourself a bit here--sadly most folks don't seem to be able to get in to see their pdoc as much as they need to.
Also, do you have a therapist? This is so stressful and scary for you and it would be great to have some IRL support.
