I might be the exception here, but I never found Remeron to be sedating at any dose. I am taking 45 mg now, but started out at 15 mg and worked up.
My doctor had been hesitant to precribe it to me because she said it would make me "profoundly tired". I don't know why, but it just doesn't make me tired.
