New to Ritalin SR - What to expect?

My pdoc recently prescribed Ritalin SR (20mg) for ADD-type symptoms and to augment the SSRI I have been taking for a number of months in order to help combat some apathy and motivation problems.

Having never taken a stimulant before, I am a bit nervous. Can people here share their stimulant experiences with me, including the most common side effects one can expect when adjusting to the new med, please? I am confident that the Ritalin will help with the ADD-type symptoms, but would like to hear how people have faired in terms of a stimulant addressing SSRI-induced apathy and amotivation.
