I posted this above but then I found this thread...
I was taking Epilim (Valproic Acid Family) and it did calm me down to the point of being a walking vegetable with everything else I was on at the time. I'm still trying to piece together everything that I went through back then and which drugs worked for me and which didn't. After reading your posts, I didn't put 2 and 2 together until I realised that my anxiety did come back after I stopped taking it but I didn't care because I was felling really sick and lethargic so I went to the hostipal and the doc did some blood work. He sent me to another doc 4 days later to get my results. My liver function test was off the scale, which is a very common side effect and everyone on this drug should have this checked regularly. I was never told about this so that is why I stopped taking it and went back to valium instead to smooth out my anxiety. Thanks for jogging my memory, it has been very foggy. I only take valium when needed or mogadon for sleep these days, everything thing else I have stopped for 5 months now and I'm feeling pretty good. I'm still putting alot of things together and this board is helping me greatly.I found it really did help me with anxiety. Paul
